SYRACUSE, Utah (KSL.com) — President Russell M. Nelson will dedicate the Syracuse Utah Temple on Sunday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints said in an announcement on Monday.

The church president will be accompanied by Elder Quentin L. Cook, of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, for the dedication ceremony at 4 p.m. It will be broadcast to chapels within the temple district of the church and rebroadcast to the same buildings at 7 p.m.

An open house for the Syracuse temple ended on Saturday after running for about a month. The temple is the first to have two baptistries, which will provide youth members in the area more opportunities to attend the temple.

The temple, which was announced in general conference in April 2020, will be the 22nd temple operating in Utah when it is dedicated, the church statement said.

President Nelson also dedicated the Deseret Peak Utah Temple — the church’s 200th temple — in November and rededicated the Manti Utah Temple in April 2024.
